Whilst I admit this might be a little late for the holiday season, the thought has occured to me that there are many many etsy stores out there that have some good items that would be ideal gifts. For those who don’t know, Etsy , to quote wikipedia “Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies, as well as unique factory-manufactured items. These items cover a wide range, including art, photography, clothing, jewellery, food, bath and beauty products, quilts, knick-knacks, and toys.”

This weeks highlight covers the creature description generator for goblins. A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous grotesque dwarf-like daemon or monster that appeared in European stories and accounts during the Middle Ages. Sometimes green, grey or various shades, they are often thought to be a smaller version of the Orc.

As part of my “trying to post more often” drive, it occurred to me that some of newer fans and followers may not know about my older generators. So I am working to correct this by highlighting (aiming for one a week) a different generator that have made and for which there is a free online version here.

Speaking of generators, now that the Generators and Tools page is active, the older one, simply titled Generators, will be removed from the menus system. The page will still be active, so that older link and URLS will still work, but I won’t be promoting that page anymore.

Generator Revisited – Technobabble

No new generator or resource this week, so thought I would re-visit an older generator once again – Technobabble.

With my upcoming STA campaign soon to officially start, it seems appropriate to revisit this. This particular generator was one of my favorites to do.  So much so I took the original version, which had three d100 tables and added a further 2 d100 expanded options.

To give you an idea of how many possible outcomes this can generate I’ll break it down:

Standard Version

• 3 x d100 tables
• 100 x 100 x 100 possible combinations
• 1,000,000 (One Million Possible Combinations)

Expanded Version

This version builds on the Standard Edition and expands it by not only giving you technobabble problems but a possible solution as well.
