A rich starry sky fills the view from an ancient gas-giant planet in the core of the globular star cluster M4, as imagined in this artist’s concept. The 13-billion-year-old planet orbits a helium white-dwarf star and the millisecond pulsar B1620-26, seen at lower left. The globular cluster is deficient in heavier elements for making planets, so the existence of such a world implies that planet formation may have been quite efficient and common in the early universe. Some belive there are about a billion galaxies in the known universe, with each of them having a billion star systems and countless planets.  It would be a massive undertaking to try to detail everyone of them. So ,this generator has been made to  make your work just that tiny bit easier.

Campaign Chunk – Location – Southern Dig Site

Description
In the southern desert, approx 5 years ago, a holiday-maker stumbled across a set of ruins. Buried by the desert sands, these ruins had been covered for approximately 1000 years. Careful investigation revealed the ruins to be an outpost lost to time. Believed to be a covert military outpost, any markings that identify the nation to which it belongs to have either been erased or never existed in the first place. The site is much larger than first thought, covering approximately 1/2 a square mile. Excavation is taking longer than normal due to the shifting sands that surround it. Tourists come from the world over to see the ruins and those excavating it at work.

Hooks/Rumors

  • Several of the artifacts and items that were being exhibited in the local museums have started going miss...

Campaign Chunk – Location – The Sturgess Canal

Description
Whilst not the longest canal system, the Sturgess Canal is the oldest, if not the first, in the region. Approximately 70 km long, it has 40 locks. the vast majority of the canal has a pathway on each side. Various settlements have sprung up along its length and for many places , this artificial river keeps the settlement alive.

The Sturgess Canal is named after the family that owns and operates it. They make their money from lock and toll fees. Having fees that are generally the lowest in the country, if not the world, has made the SC very popular. 90% of these fees go towards maintaining the pristine canal and paying the lock workers . Fines are imposed for dumping waste material.

Hooks/Rumors

  • The canal is being used to smuggle contraband into the city and the players are cha...

Campaign Chunk – Location – The Glass Tower

Description
The Glass Tower(GT) is, as its name suggests, a tower made of glass. Well, mostly glass anyway. It stands at approximately 40 floors above ground and about the same number below ground. The outside glass is not normal glass as it would shatter under the pressure that all tall buildings suffer from. It is said to resemble an impossibly large glass dagger that has been thrust into the ground.
Apart from the semi-see through glass, what makes the GT standout is that fact that for 1/2 a mile around there is no vegetation. No grass grows, no flowers bloom. Nothing. The ground has been tested and nothing found to be wrong with it.
On certain days, about twice a year, the light will hit the GT in such a way as to make it seem like it is a tower of flame and fire.
At the moment the GT i...

Campaign Chunk – Location – The Star River

Description
Rivers are natural watercourse, normally freshwater. The Star River is no exception. It is located approx 1/2 a mile from the nearest town and as countless streams and tributaries that supply water to the local settlements. Its length is almost 33 miles long and at its widest it is 170 meters wide with a typical width of 110 meters. The source starts in the mountains and leads into a vast lake called Star Lake. It is thought to be named after the explorer who “officially” discovered it, Jethro Star, approx 175 years ago, but evidence is starting to emerge that there was an older civilisation that existed along its north bank over 1000 years ago.

Hooks/Rumors

  • The river is artificial created by the now-extinct civilisation
  • The older civilisation was wiped out by a naturally occu...
