Character Description
This gnome is tall and fat (45 lbs.) for his race.
He is an old man with thin, receding white hair, and slanted brown eyes with thin, arching eyebrows. He has a light complexion, smooth skin, and a blocky head with a long face that has a high forehead. His nose is hawk-like and his mouth is large with generous lips. His teeth are white and his breath is smoky. His ears are slightly pointed, and hesports narrow sideburns. His arms are normal, his legs are muscular, and his fingers are short. He is wearing neat clothing and a sour expression, and walks with balanced movements. There is the scent of cinnamon emanating from the man.
He is opinionated, hide-bound and warlike, and speaks in a breathless, a nasal voice, and his interests include Community Service, and Horticulture.
He seems very stable, mentally.

One other item of interest concerning this man; he has gaps between his teeth.

Personal History
This character was raised in a Gathering of 624 Gnomes that called this ‘cluster of clusters’ home. He was raised in an area considered Temperate Marsh – primarily bogs.
Both of his Parents are alive and healthy. His Grandparents are unknown. They all died before he was old enough to remember them. He is the middle child of his family, and has two older siblings as well as three younger siblings. He has at least 11 other living relatives. He has several friends that he considers companions, but they aren’t particularly close to him.

He grew up in an unorganized famlial situation wherein his family had no real internal organization to speak of, and all family members were responsible for their own actions.
Although a few of his relatives may still be alive, he considers himself to be an Orphan after being discarded by those who were supposed to be his true family. Consequently, he insists that he has no known family, and was raised by a family of moderate means that loved him for himself. As he was growing up, his family were considered Newcomers. He and his family were settlers, but they were treated as equals.
During the times of his life when it became necessary to defend themselves, there was little need to fear. He grew up in an environment where Combat was a regular part of the lives of his family, and most adult members of his family were veterans of some type of combat. Martial weapons and training were a regular component of their daily lives.
Privately, his family were known for their concientious involvement in the community and their proactive nature when it came to helping others. His family’s public ethics could be considered beneath contempt. Regardless of his family’s actual ethics, public opinion is so ingrained concerning his family that it’s essentially unchangeable. In this case however, public opinion is right. His family’s reputation in the community however, is mostly bad. The family, in general is treated with contempt, but occasionally a family member or two has demonstrated positive qualities and has earned the respect of those they have interacted with.
His family’s Religious preferences could be considered neutral since his family had no real commitment family religious direction as he was growing up.
Politically, his family would be considered Radical. His family is in open revolt against the current system and the existing rulers.
His family boasts a Master Artisan as an ancestor. His ancestor – Eirik Arngeirsson by name – was an artisan of unmatched skill who left a legacy of excellence that is still used as a standard gauge of quality in most of the world today.

His childhood was otherwise unremarkable. The only thing that might be considered unusual was the fact that he undertook a long journey that had a profound effect on his early childhood. Although the event was traumatic, he could not have been the man he is now without it.
During the years of his youth, he displayed an inate talent for Arcane Spellcasting.
All in all though, he has been lucky. There have been no Major Events of any consequence in his life – yet.
His early education was couched in Business. He was curious about money, and strove mightily to make the best use of his hard-won skills in his chosen field. Later, he became a graduate of the ‘School of Hard Knocks’ where his time on the street helped to teach him the intricacies of minor thievery and con games. Currently, he has been making a living as an Arcanist. He has been apprenticed to a Wizard for arcane instruction.
As far as his relationships with his Instructors went, he had no Instructors of note He pretty much taught himself.
He edged a romantic rival out in an affair of the heart, and his rival still holds a grudge.
