Sometimes when playing a game, having music or sounds playing in the background can help add to the atmosphere and imersion

So here is a list of some online resources you could use to help makes your games feel a bit more real – Bear in mind that a couple of these , like Pandora, may not work in your region

  • Radio Rivendell – is the one and only fantasy radio station in the world playing fantasy music 24-7!
  • Pandora – Enter something like Howard Shore as the seed artist and your music will have a LOTR feel to it
  • Last.fm – Same as Pandora, but I particulay like this “hidden” track from The Hobbit – it sounds like something you may hear in a dwarf tavern
  • Youtube – Can be used to set up a playlist for various scenes – such as battle, exploring a forets or anything else – requires a bit more work than the others, but will have the exact songs you want

Next time we’ll go over individual artists and groups that may help as seed/starters to listen to
