This week’s rpg related resource is a website for helping you make characters in 5e, RPG Tinker. It is very easy to use, with drop-down menus and stat options. Simply select what you want and hit the “build that NPC” button. There are pre-set options in the bestiary, for various types of npcs or humanoid creatures you may encounter, such as city guard, or goblins.  To quote the site – ”

Hello folks! RPGTinker is a tool for building NPCs for D&D 5e. Just choose a template, abilities scores, and hit dice, and your NPC is ready to use in battle! You can even print or pdf it!

In 5E, monsters -and especially NPCs- follow different rules to players. They are usually a “damage sponge”, having a lot of hit points and low damage. I haven’t found any other generator for NPCs, just for players. That inspired me to create a specific tool for NPCs.

The DMG is a little unclear about how to build NPCs, and so many of the features described here are from my understanding of the rules. The tool is under construction and receiving new features each day. It probably has some (or many) errors in it. Help improve it by giving your feedback!”

Its a simple and easy to use tool and is also free, so go check it out today.
