Rod, staves (sometimes called staff) and wands are, like sword and armor, a staple part of most fantasy worlds. They can be symbolic, contain power, or even be used as a weapon in an emergency.
Like monsters and characters, a more detailed description can sometimes be better than a simple one. It helps you answer the questions like “What is that item made of?” or “How big is it” and so on.
